Another sad day in Tinsletown…My good friend and co-worker, former Dallas Cowboy Wide Receiver Michael “The Playmaker” Irvin has decided to take a job with ESPN/ABC.
I can only describe his departure as a “young bird leaving the nest”…People, Mike and I have been friends for years, now we become Brothers for Life…That’s our motto.
This man made it out of the tough projects of Ft. Lauderdale, FL (me: condo in the Valley) and into the hearts of Americans all across America…Yes, Americans all across America!!…and Mexico too, some have satellite dishes.
There was not a dry eye in Studio B today @ The Best Damn Sports Show Period…Tissues and smelling salts were on hand for those not in control…And let me say this, I was proud to be not in control.
Here at Fox Sports, Michael completed his community service, now he’s ready to tackle Major Network TV like a First Down in Overtime….Movin’ the chains!
In closing, this great man was a pleasure to work with on a daily basis…Never too busy to say hello, always quick with a laugh or smile.

Good night and Shalom to you, Michael.
Ladies and Gentleman, my name is Brody Stevens.
