Just found out The Sharon Osbourne Show got cancelled, too bad I guess?…Worked there early in the season, doing audience warm-up for a couple shows, but that’s it, they went with another guy, assume they didn’t get me?…Certain people on the floor weren’t very friendly, oh well…What comes around goes around.
Also got fired doing warm-up at Late World with Zach on VH-1…The head guy said I scared the audience (what, I made Hollywood teen runaways think about consequences?), so they got rid of me, though Zach and the writers fought gallantly for me to get my job back (they’re my friends!)…A month or so later, Late World with Zach was cancelled.
The new face of VH-1?…Nice going Viacom, way to waste millions of dollars on advertising.
*Not ripping Zach, I’m condemning those who’re scared of anything that’s different, yet effective.
Another gig letting me go was On the Spot, a sketch comedy show for the WB…Worked my ass off that night, the crowd was into me, except for some Christian group from Palmdale…This was overheard by the producers, they caved, I’m fired…Two episodes later, On the Spot was cancelled.
Read the trades that day, felt great!
Let’s talk about The Best Damn Sports Show Period on Fox Sports Net, not critically acclaimed, juvenile and just plain silly…However, I’ve not been fired from my warm-up duties and the show has been on the air for almost three years…In fact, I’ve been on the show four times, one time I spoke!
Bottom line, Fox, Tom Arnold and others involved with show know what I bring to the table…The result?…A production that sets the bar for advertisers and is fast becoming a staple of the network, if it isn’t already.
Bring me in, let me do my thing (which is energy and laughter), and it’s not only for the audience, I bring enjoyment to cast and crew on a daily basis…Twice, I made a grip chuckle.
I deal with winners on and off the court of life, you’d be stupid to rub me the wrong way.
Oh, I’m not bitter, just standing up for myself, calling it like I see it.
