Manson as Fisher.jpg

Another classic bit from Brody and Teina.

This time we went on the streets and interviewed Seattle’s homeless, then tied it all together with some arts and crafts.

Click here to enjoy the sound bite.

To balance out the above segment, here’s a natural wonder I recently captured.

Brody’s Hollywood Commentary

Saturday, February 28, 2004

I sit here tonight, not feeling well, but I must type on!

What’s the deal with the Oscars? They vote, it’s subjective. Unfortunately I’ve chosen a business that puts my career in the hands of others, many not able to make accurate decisions. And certain audiences aren’t immune to this statement, they’ve been dumbed-down, almost to mongoloid levels (not you, you’re smart!).

Would you like having your destiny hinge on a phone call from some executive? I deal with results, not hunches and horoscopes (btw, I’m a Gemini).

This is why sports is the ultimate drama, it’s real and the better team or player usually wins, sometimes not, but at least the best of the best participate. I can name several very funny people you’ve never heard of. On the other hand, if some guy throws 90mph, he gets a chance, no questions asked.

Stats and numbers don’t lie, if you’re a great athlete they’ll find you. With entertainment, you must hope and pray the right people come out to see you. Is it Sopranos night?, do they offer free food?, is it in a cool neighborhood?, is so and so gonna be there?, etc.

It’s not about talent or laughs anymore, it’s about looks, packaging and favors.

Comedy has a become scripted smoke and mirrors. Where are the true buffoons?

I was home schooled in college, and when does the new Creed album drop?

In the biz, we call this a tease

Friday, February 27, 2004

Just got home, busy with The Man Show, plus I’m slightly under the weather.

Of course I’ll have new stuff up in the next day or so, check back over the weekend, it’s that easy.

What to expect…

*Views on Gay Marriage

*Opinions regarding Passion of the Christ and You Got Served

*Debating hot pursuits ending in gunfire or death

*muffins

*The FCC going insane

My name is Brody Stevens, and I TIVO paid programming.

Seattle’s Capital Hill Ball Boys

Capital Hill Ball Boys.jpg

A classic clip from our hey day (Teina is applying aggressive-synthetic CPR). Yes, I live in the past, I embrace memories.

So far it hasn’t rained, my weather balloon reports no moisture as of yet.

Oh, and I’m gonna stop using ellipses (”…” for those not in the know). A few writer friends have mentioned my use of the ellipse, I respect and factored in their opinions, so no more dots.

They also want me to vote for Ralph Nader.

*******

The next two days I’ll be over at The Man Show. Gonna re-shoot and tighten up a few things, should be fun.

Give me t-shirts, a mic and girls fresh off the bus from Iowa, and I’ll give you a show! Trust me, my track record speaks for itself, enjoy that!

*******

In two weeks I’ll be in Tampa, Fla to witness the Derek Jeter/A-Rod “feud” firsthand. Most likely, a dinner and movie will be on the docket, we’re just simple folk. By the way, Derek hated EuroTrip and Alex loves Red Robin.

I sound like a 14-year old girl describing the cast of Hang Time.

Can somebody put me in touch with Reggie Theus?

Tuesdays with Brody

Tuesday, February 24, 2004

It’s gonna piss tomorrow, preparing to sandbag my hard drive, we’ve had flooding before. Think good thoughts, pray for my JPEGs.

Justin Timberlake pulled out of hosting duties for the upcoming Motown special on ABC due to protests from several African-American groups, jeez. Who do they want, Jameriqui?

I’ve never officially complained about anything, I just write about it here, then I feel better. Sounds simple, and it is. I only worry about things that truly matter, like my health, family, job, hairline, friends, car, combination skin, LOCAL community, and that’s about it.

I’m sure many complaints are legitimate, but most people don’t wanna hear about it, squeaky wheels DON’T always get the grease (have you heard my Schwinn lately?).

If others can deal with it, so can you. Many just ask and demand, how about doing it yourself? We’ve created a whole generation of individuals and groups dependent on handouts (yes, we’re all to blame).

The day mother took away my Blockbuster card, I downloaded The Passion of Christ on Kazaa. You see, I turned a negative into a positive. Jesus would be proud.

People, life is not a sprint, it’s a steeplechase (not an applicable final sentence, but I like it).

Space Needle.jpg

When I have nothing to say, I just add photos.

Hate to brag, but this is one of the few blogs providing fresh and ORIGINAL content on a semi-daily basis, respect it. Most do, some can’t, hits don’t lie.

I will toot my own trumpet.

Until tomorrow, good night now.

Thanks.jpg

(should be “Its”, but not gonna change it (”It’s”), already deleted the artwork, yes I call the above rectangular box artwork).

*Look for those new Burger King TV ads, they’re a complete rip-off of The Office on BBC. And I’m not even on the front lines of support for this UK import.

*People who don’t watch or know sports ALWAYS look down on those who do.

*The right side of my neck up thru my lower head is killing me, not sure what I did, if anything. Its been more than two weeks, anyone have the number of a Valley based Red Cross? Can you say “10-dollar co-pay @ Rite Aid for OxyContin”?

*Just added a few new photos to our Fun Clix w/Pix section.
