rain, rain, go away

Monday, March 1, 2004

Remember last week when it was supposed to pour all day and night? Well it did, for ONE hour. I prepared for the worst, and it was the best. More disappointing than Y2K.

Today we expected light rain with trace amounts (rubber Nunn Bush at the ready).

People, I’ve got news for you, I’m writing this passage smack dab in the middle of a perfect storm. I can actually hear the rain drops pelting my roof-top AC unit (and I’m in the basement!), frightening to say the least.

It’s like Poltergeist meets Amityville Horror, please no claps of thunder, I beg of you Father Nature.

Willard Scott severely screwed this one up.

More weather related calamity…

Earlier this evening, I witnessed a middle-aged woman of Asian descent slip and fall walking into a Westwood parking structure. I asked if she was okay, she was. She then bowed and thanked me for my concern. I drove home with a warm feeling, thanks to my intense Toyota Avalon heat and defrosting system.
