Wonderful show last night at the Improv, we really packed it in! And thanks to Lesley Wolff for putting the whole thing together, she rocks!

Wanna help the Tsunami people. Does the Red Cross have gift certificates?

Of course I’m joking. Everyone should chip in and help, including the terrorists.

Had Tony Roma’s tonight in Encino. No famous faces. Did see an old guy with a leather Universal Pictures jacket, he looked industry.

Saw Meet the Fockers. Satisfied, lotta laughs (not me, I observe). Could deal without the baby humor, THAT I didn’t enjoy. Dustin Hoffman stood out, great actor. Barbara Streisand, she pulled it off, really committed to her role. The carry-overs from the first flick where fine too. The crowd loved it, you’ll like it (I know my readers).

Darren Woodson of the Dallas Cowboys is retiring. I remember him from college, we both went to Arizona State. He was a nice guy, thoughtful. We would talk football or baseball and he’d actually listen to what I had to say, never blew me off. If Darren ever needs a break in Hollywood, I’ll vouch for him and he knows this.

me: delusional. again.

Hey, I just saw the bartender from Sideways playing a BARTENDER on Smallville! You can’t do that, right? He’s double dipping, someone please report this to IMDB.

Just got back from the dentist (Letterman was a client in the early 80’s). No cavities, enjoy that! Could floss more, can’t we all? Thank god for Sonic Care toothbrushes. Not only do they shine up your teeth, they’ll work wonders on a gumline.

Paste of Choice: Crest with Cinnamon Rush. It’s delicious.

Typing this on my old, semi-retired 17-inch pc, the internet looks really different since I’ve gone to the 20-inch iMac, made the switch around three months ago. Are my pictures too big? Should I make them smaller? How am I supposed to know if you don’t tell me?

I’m f-ing starving right now, won’t eat till I’m done with this entry. Famished, man.

I’ll drink water, that’ll push back the hunger pains.

Saw Sideways last night, didn’t love it. Just not that into wine. Paul Giamatti’s character got on my nerves, he WAS a downer. Thomas Haden Church was good, he’s funny (Giamatti can be funny too, just not in this). Sandra Oh, the sexy Asian, she had great energy, enjoyed her screen time. Virginia Madson and Giamatti’s character, their relationship didn’t move me at all. Got it, get it, I’ve seen it before. Overall, Sideways had some funny moments, woven in with a warm yet honest message, but not life changing in the least.

Expected to see the greatest movie in years, according to the LA Weekly. Floundering had more of an effect on me, The Rookie too and let’s not forget Roxanne or Swingers. I will say this, Sideways was very real, and that’s worth something, especially in the film world. Doesn’t mean it’s gonna entertain me.

Should I have lied and said I loved Sideways? Maybe I’m just too immature and shallow to appreciate finer filmmaking? More sobering, I can list several examples backing up this statement.

More and more I continue to question myself as to why I maintain this site.

Guess it’s for you, friends, mostly me, fans and industry. Not sure if those five entities combined warrant an almost daily update. Don’t hits and return links mean something? Well, like they say in the barrio, the writing is on the wall.

Anyway, tonight at The Friars with Tom Rhodes and CHRIST-MASS eve 11pm at The Comedy Store.

Camp is going well, happy kids. Struck out a t-baller, felt good.
