Been too long, let’s chat…
Just figured this out. The Napoleon Dynamite character is more than loosely based on Butthead, friend of Beavis. With the B & B DVD out and MTV retrospectives galore, others will pick up on my theory. Not hating, just being honest.
And bitter.
Haven’t worked out for three days and I feel great! Today I’ll do everything, except swim and gravity boots at public park. Throw, lift, surgical tubing, then bicycle indoors.
Already took my Greens and Flax Seed Oil, let’s do this.
Seriously, I really do take supplements, so why not report my results to the public? And don’t say, “we all take vitamins”, cuz you don’t. For years, people have ridiculed me regarding my intake of Co-Q 30mg, silica horsetail, and most recently, Anti-Oxidants.
Yesterday, taped a Letterman’esque skit for The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on CBS. Should air sometime next week, it was fun. Look for a drawrf in a tux wearing a top hot and Icey from, of course, Iceland.
Yes, she’s hot. But she’s probably into young Brazilian men who smoke and ride scooters. (strange inkblot on the balloon you know where)
Night before, I was at the ArcLight in Hollywood watching the LA premiere of Sarah Silverman’s Jesus is Magic. Sarah is such a great performer, so funny, and fabulous skin too (for that alone you should see this flick). If you’re a fan of her work, this movie is a must. If you’re on the fence, check it out anyway. It’s mostly stand-up (honed and tight), a few music videos and single camera backstage skits. A great mix and variety of SS - like STAR 98.7 fm or the new Jack format, possibly a unique channel on Sirius?
But anyway…
Silverman’s singing is really good, plus the songs and visuals are catchy and fun (though dark at times :). And for the encore, a blindside left hook really puts a ribbon on the show.
Risks were taken, acting was solid with Brian Posehn, Bob Odenkirk, and sister Laura Silverman. Sarah and the movie hold your attention and make you laugh and think about well constructed jokes and mannerisms. She gets it, and in the man world of comedy, that’s saying something.
I think it’s cool, inspiring, which is tough to do, you know - to be the lead for all masses to see. Say what you want, like her material or not, gotta respect the fact Sarah, director Liam Lynch and others behind the scenes pulled this project off, delivering the goods without compromising persona. This concert movie played the BIG SCREEN at The ArcLight in Hollywood, AMC Times Square and sold out two packed shows at West LA’s famed Nuart on the ultra-competitive Friday night.
Opening weekend turnout is enough to rest your hat on. And Sarah loves hats.
Oh, I have a small no-word cameo three-quarters of the way in.
Sarah is my friend and has always been super nice to me - in short doses, of course. I’ve known her for five years, she’s known me for two.
Yes, this review is bias, but honest.

In closing, I had fun presenting the Nuart early show, then helping Sarah out with the post-credits Q and A session. In the back parking lot after the event, Heavyweight World Champion James “Lights Out” Toney came by to say hello - he was on his way to a local restaurant, he and Sarah would make a great comedy pair.
As would Spike Jonze or Catherine Keener, who just happened to stick around and shoot the breeze with us in a semi-circle between screenings.
After writing this piece, I can see why it’s easy to fall for Sarah in a creepy way.
I’ve fallen, but I’m not creepy.
Right?
Mom, who gave me her car, are you there? - Stephanie, older sister I live with until December 15th? - Hello. Will you be my references?
Kids, let’s have a great weekend! - See ya soon.
Me was Brody.
