And to that, I say God Bless Los Angeles!
No doubt today’s historic win over the Suns will carry over to tomorrow, inspiring those hitting the streets, shutting down this great City of Angels.
We don’t quit, Kobe and Smush refuse to quit, as will me. That’s right! www.BrodyStevens.com is here to stay as long as I can afford the domain (which I pay a daily rate for, renewing it on a 25hr cycle – time consuming but I save 36 bucks a year).
Doesn’t make sense because I made it up.
Still a fun read, right?

Gather around your screens and let’s fireside chat about life…
Feeling better, climbing out of my dark days. Lately been gloomier than a early dusk in January, just a few pipelines east of Barrow in the shadow of the Yukon.
Forcing myself out on the town, embracing others who are paddling upstream as well, in the same boat.
Some lighter, some with a better engine, others with neat little fishing poles.
Who am I? Bob Denver on Eskimo Island? Let’s stop this right here!
If you’re lucky, in a few, I just may upload another video to YouTube. How’s that for a Saturday surprise? Oh yes, me wheels are turning. Grab the cat! – Which means, I may use animals, that’s all.
*Number 2 pick overall in today’s NFL Draft

Hello brother, you read correct.
Saturday at 10pm for Andy Kindler’s Montreal Alternative Showcase Thingy featuring Howard Kramer, Josh Fadem, Tom Sharpe, myself, others, etc…
For details, if you so chose, follow this link.
Then later, to close out the night, I’ll head up to LA’s Strip high above Hollywood, taking the stage at the Comedy Store, hoping to be played on around 1am.
Perfect.
Don Barris, Robin Williams, Rick Ingraham, hot young actors Steve Rannazzisi and Ari Shaffir all hanging out, shooting the breeze, talking comedy and playing magnetic darts.
So there you go.
Mom, I’m making it in this town!
Getting ready for the NBA Draft…

First at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater on Franklin in Hollywood across from the Interstate 101 and a Scientology center near Gower Ave.
Mapquest that! – you can’t.
Of course you can.
I’m sorry.
So the Doug Benson Interruption at 9:30 with funny people, trust me.
Then later, after midnight at the Comedy Store for typical cutting edge experimentation and TV tested one-liners.
Good stuff, everybody wins.
Howie Long, #75 for the LA Raiders oil painting
Another show, Saturday night at 10pm —> Melrose Improv

Lately, nothing is more creepy than watching the not-young-anymore Wink Martindale rip off his suit in those Orbitz commercials.
Actually surprised he has the strength.

Canseco for baseball in the afternoon (Jose pitched 2 innings, hit a double, but struck out 3 times) – Williams for laughter in the evening at the Comedy Store.
From the book Juiced to the movie Flubber, all bases were covered by this one time Bay Area duo.
Robin a die-hard Giants fan, while Jose slugged away across the bay in Oakland for the A’s.
File this under Who Cares?
As a matter of fact, I do! And I’ll be willing to share my story with Sports Illustrated for Toddlers and/or The Yellow Pages.
But seriously, nice guys, gracious with their time and down to earth.
*I told Robin to look stiff and uncomfortable. He’s such a great actor!
Just a remember, Wednesday 8pm at the Improv in Hollywood off Melrose.
Funny people plus myself – could be fun, should be fun, won’t be fun.
Kidding. Enjoyment had by all, I give you my words.

Hey crew, Brode here, wishing you fantastic wishes on a gloomy weekend here in Southern California, America.
Does The Vitamin Shoppe have a pharmacy? Depressed, gotta go refill an antibiotic.
These are hit jokes and only I can sell them – on stage with me or to you for a few bucks at a class graduation show.
Late night at the Comedy Store this evening, going nuts in the AM! – Don Barris of Jimmy Kimmel Live will no doubt stop by and share his most intimate thoughts regarding the making of Windy City Heat – and his latest joy, The Ding-Dong Show.
Zany fun in the Original Room, channeling the spirits of Kinison, Hicks and Byron Allen.

Solid stuff, clever.
America is good hands and I’m going back to work in retail.
In advertising and media news…
Last night I saw the same actor in both a Bud Light and Coor’s Light television commercial. Conflict of interest, a big no-no. Today’s honor system requires me to make my feelings public to the actors’ guild and affiliated casting directors.
Sorry to start off your Thursday on such a sour note.
