Got hair cut today. If you’re gonna apply clippers to my head and beard, you better go for it. Press the guards on my face and get in there! Timid brushing too, and no powder. Let’s pick it up a notch and take charge!

I’m writing a letter to Sam because I’m not feeling fantastic.

Great show the other night with Joe Rogan, Jimmy Pardo, Greg Fitzsimmons, Jeffrey Ross, Harland Williams, Jimmy Dore and others.

Everyone loved DJ. He grew up in LA, went to Pepperdine, won a World Championship for Seattle in 1979 (he’s #24), played with the Suns, then two more memorable titles with the Celtics, teaming up alongside Bird, Parrish, McHale and Bill Walton.

I was a young kid in the summer of 1980, went to visit family up in Seattle. My cousin and I would ride our bikes down to the Mercer Island JCC (Jewish Community Center) for some afternoon swimming and racquetball.

Who else was there at this facility? You got it, the Seattle Supersonics and Dennis Johnson. Yep, about half the team hanging out, scrimmaging. Freddy Brown, Lonnie Shelton and more names you don’t know. But that’s okay.

To this day I vividly remember seeing DJ and these other very large NBA guys just working out, joking in the locker room and slapping each other with towels (I was there, sitting in the corner, shocked).

It was very cool, and I was a die hard Laker fan.

So I’ve always had a special place in my heart for those guys. And when hearing about the sudden passing of Dennis Johnson I couldn’t help but think back to that rainy day 27 years ago in the Northwest.

In a strange bit of timing, this photo was taken moments before the sad news of DJ’s passing.

*Britney Spears shaved her head the other night literally two minutes away from my front door. I think she looks good, kinda like Sinead O’Connor and we all know how that turned out. I urge you, please keep Britney away from the piano if and when she’s ever again involved with SNL at 30 Rock. Funny thing, I too clipped my hair on this very same night, except I used a guard on my Wahl !! Still need to vacuum. Don’t care, I’m moving.

*Joe Rogan hand picked me last night to follow him at the Hollywood Improv on Melrose. He wanted me close out the After Hours Show with Owen Benjamin and Nick Thune sponsored by MySpace. Classy guy, honest support. He could have gone on forever, didn’t do that, a perfect assist for the 1:55am – 2:15am spot. Enjoy That! I’m into Yoga too.

*Anna Nicole Smith died last week or something like that. Where? In Florida at The Hard Rock Casino and Hotel in Hollywood near Ft. Lauderdale. I spent a whole week there in the Summer of 2005.

I’ve been where Anna Nicole was, except for the gym. They offered pilates and I took them up on that offer! (the joke, through improper grammar –> ANS didn’t exercise) Who else did I see? My good ole’ buddy Michael Irvin. Sadly, Michael was released from his ESPN duties yesterday.
